Brigitte Winsor

Freelance Creative Director and Graphic Designer

About

I am highly regarded as a talented graphic designer and professional creative director, with twelve years expertise in print, web, exhibition, presentation, user interface and user experience design. I have a keen eye for detail and an exceptional talent for user-centred design; producing attractive clean designs with clarity of message and ease of navigation.

As a critical and imaginative thinker with a broad perspective, I produce engaging and intuitive interface designs. Close team- working with Human Computer Interaction experts has given me thorough analytical skills in understanding the user experience.

I take pride in delivering to deadlines and to budget requirements. Highly organised with notable efficiency, I’ve proven ability in multi-tasking and in managing multiple projects simultaneously. Good communication skills have also ensured a reliable track record in interpreting clients’ aims into effective bespoke designs. I thrive in collaborative development with people at all levels and in varying fields. Dedicated and motivated, I enjoy learning and new challenges.

I have worked with a wide range of clients and partners, including: the Arts & Humanities Research Council; the BBC; Birmingham Museums; Cadbury Research Library; Commonwealth Initiative for Freedom of Religion and Belief; Enginuity, Ironbridge Gorge Museum; European Education Research Association; Hereford Cathedral; Institute of Textual Scholarship and Electronic Editing; Library of Birmingham; Punch Records; Royal Shakespeare Company; Shakespeare Birthplace Trust; Shakespeare Institute; and the University of Birmingham.

It has been a great pleasure to work with Brigitte and to have the benefit of her creative energy, design skills and visual inventiveness. She did a remarkable job clarifying what we needed, and worked tirelessly to refine the design so that the end result is both visually striking and very usable.
